    Coverity on Polaris makes it easy to navigate available projects and to make a short list of favorite projects for quick access.

    Coverity on Polaris creates a comprehensive, graphic summary of issues for a project.
  - Viewing Application Summaries
    In Polaris, an application is a collection of projects. The application view shows aggregated results for all the projects that belong to the application.
  - Choosing Project Branches
    Coverity on Polaris can track testing results across different branches and revisions of a single project. You might, for example, use a branch for the development of each new feature, then use another branch to track official releases. The first branch you scan will be your main-for-project branch, which will be your default branch unless you change it independently to display project issues for all users in the Polaris Web Interface or, for incremental analysis, in the Polaris CLI. When you view a project in Polaris, you see information about one branch of the project. The Project Admin can select a default branch for all users and delete branches from the Web Interface. Individual users can select preferred branches for viewing in the project summary.

    This branch will be used to display project issues for all users in the Web Interface. If the project is part of an Application, the default branch is displayed there.

    This deletes branches from your project so they are no longer visible in the Web Interface.

    Use this task to view a preferred branch of your project in the Web Interface.
  - Choose a Version of Coverity for a Project
    You can choose a version of Coverity for a project that is different from your organization's default version. This is especially useful if your organization plans to automatically upgrade to the latest version and you don't want to upgrade yet.

Note: This platform is renamed Coverity on Polaris. Unless otherwise specified, references to Polaris or Polaris Software Integrity Platform in this documentation are referring to Coverity on Polaris.

Coverity on Polaris has a consistent user interface, which typically consists of four main elements.

Elements of the Coverity on Polaris user interface

The regions of the user interface are as follows:

The main menu is always visible on the left side of the user interface.
Depending on the current selection, a navigation hint and option tabs might be shown at the top of the user interface. The figure shows the bitcoin/bitcoin project is currently selected, and the Settings are visible.
A sub-menu might be also be visible. In this case, the project settings are divided into General, Members, Analysis, and Delete options.
The most specific information is shown in the remaining space, which takes up most of the right side of the user interface.
